Auckland

Gosh, i've had some fun for the past few days, spent two nights in Kaitaia and then took a tour up to Cape Reinga, the north most region of NZ, you cant go any farther...well, you can, if you jump into the ocean....

the place was fabulous, i've never seen anything that beautiful before....two ocean joining together, them being the tasman sea and the pacific ocean....it's just breathtaking...

i also went sand toboganning at the sand dunes, simply awesome....then we travelled down the 90 mile beach....can you imagine driving by the side of the water and getting all that splashes....fantastic...

*********

today i got up early to begin a great expedition....hitch hiking...

i was to hitchhike from Kaitaia to Auckland, some 400 kilometres, imagine hitching a hike from KL to Penang....it's never gonna happen back home...

so i chose a suitable spot where the drivers can see me and also have ample space to pull over should they wanna pick me up....i then stretched out my arm with my thumb up...just when i finished doing that, a car pulled over, asking me where im heading to, i told him im heading south, so he gave me a lift and dropped me off when our directions parted....

i went on to Hitch three other times, once being a very kind couple and the other times some very kewl guys whom we spent hours talking on our journey...Kiwis must be the nicest ppl on earth....

Now that im back to auckland, i will try to get a car tomorrow, cant hitch hike all the way with the heavy backpack that im carrying, im buying more stuff everyday...just got a nice fleece from the store, it does keep me warm at night...

It's weird that everyone's been telling me that i speak excellent English, i cant think of one time when i speak to a stranger that he doesn't comment on it....im not flaunting here, but im starting to take it as an insult, it's as if we malaysians are illiterate or something....we can fucking speak the language, cant we?

anyway, i cant wait to go down south to meet some new ppl, it's sad to say good bye to all my friends back in KeriKeri, but live goes on...everyone's leaving as well, some went to Australia, some to Fiji, tonga, Tahiti, Cooks island...

Will go to Coromandel next...

just luving the country more and more....
